in Ghent we are
currently
looking for
a

:
Job responsibilities:
- You will be in charge of all mammalian and insect
cell cultures for membrane protein
production
- You will help
implementation of
processes for
membrane protein
production and
purification
,
and for
protein
crystallization trials
- Provide high
-
quality data on time and document results within electronic lab
notebook
- Evaluate, analyze and interpret research data
and create reports using established
software tools and systems
- Present data to line management or
project team
- Handle multiple projects in parallel
Candidate profile:
- Applicant
s
must have an advanced degree (
B
Sc) and at least 3 year experience in a
related field in a biotech environment
- Good experience in cell culture: insect
a
nd mammalian cells
- M
olecular
biology (PCR, restriction and restriction
-
free cloning)
- Hands
-
on
purification
of
protein (
experience with
membrane proteins
i
s
a plus)
- Experience in preparing and characterizing protein samples for crystallization
is
preferred
- Highly collaborative, self

m
otivated, team

- Ability to work in a fast
