Job Title: Research Associate

They wish to recruit two Research Associates to work in the research group of Professor Dale Wigley (http://www.imperial.ac.uk/people/d.wigley), in the Section of Structural Biology, Department of Medicine, at Imperial College London’s South Kensington Campus. The successful candidates will join a multi-disciplinary team of international researchers investigating the structures and mechanisms of chromatin modifying complexes in human DNA damage repair and cancer. They combine structural biology techniques with biochemistry to understand molecular mechanisms for DNA repair that prevent cancer in humans. The successful candidates will have proven expertise in either or both of these areas.
You must hold a PhD, or equivalent, in biochemistry, enzymology or structural biology and have a demonstrated track record in conducting high quality original research. Knowledge at postgraduate level in structural biology (crystallography or electron microscopy) and/or biochemistry is essential and experience in expression/purification of multi-protein complexes in insect or human cells is desirable.
The positions are full-time, fixed-term posts for four years.
