We are interested in understanding how cellular communication is mediated by cell surface receptors at the molecular level. The following papers describe the current direction of our research program:

· Structural basis for regulation of GPR56/ADGRG1 by its alternatively spliced extracellular domains. Salzman, Ackerman , … , Koide, Araç. Neuron (2016)
Applications from a range of backgrounds including biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology are invited. Required skills include molecular cloning and protein biochemistry. Experience in protein expression/purification, structure determination, and GPCR signaling pathways are a plus.
Our laboratory is located at the University of Chicago, and is affiliated with the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular biology (http://bmb.uchospitals.edu/) and the Grossman Institute for Neuroscience, Quantitative Biology and Human Behavior (http://neuroscience.uchicago.edu/grossman-institute/).
