A faculty-level opportunity exists for an accomplished single-particle cryo-electron microscopist to join the Structural Biology Division at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research. The Institute has recently invested into CryoEM instrumentation in partnership with the nearby University of Melbourne, including a significant co-investment into the purchase of a Titan Krios. Institute researchers also benefit from ready access to essential structural biology core facilities including the CSIRO C3 crystallisation centre, the Bio21 Magnetic Resonance facility and the Australian Synchrotron.

The successful candidate will have an outstanding record of scientific achievements and a research focus aligned with one or more of the Institute’s core areas of cancer, infection, inflammation, immune disorders, development and ageing.
