Applications are invited for a group leader position at the Biotechnology Centre of Oslo (BiO, biotek.uio.no), University of Oslo, Norway. Together with the adjacent Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM), Nordic EMBL Partnership (ncmm.uio.no), BiO is a prominent element in the University of Oslo life science strategy. To provide strategic leadership in the field, BiO is organized with focus towards functional genomics, molecular biology and molecular medicine and group leaders are recruited internationally based on excellence criteria, should be relatively young and have a potential to develop into fully qualified senior faculty. Technological research areas in BiO include proteomics, molecular and cell biology, molecular imaging, chemical biology screening and biotechnology. The groups in the centre at present have common research interests in cancer biology and aging, signaling networks and supramolecular protein complexes, and to facilitate synergy and collaboration between the groups. BiO has core facilities for proteomics, molecular interaction studies and chemical biology (part of EU-OPENSCREEN).
