Applications are invited for a Communications and Outreach Project Associate to join an EC funded infrastructure programme called Instruct-ULTRA that is based at the Division of Structural Biology at the University of Oxford.

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual with strong interpersonal skills to help us implement the communication plan including outreach to academic research communities and business clients from industry. Reporting to the Instruct-ULTRA project manager you will be responsible for creating web content, targeted communications, planning outreach sessions, and developing relationships with new business clients. You will have an eye for detail, and the ability to prioritise a varied workload and deadlines using your own initiative and with minimal supervision. You will also be comfortable with dealing with a wide range of stakeholders including researchers, senior academics, students, international partners and industry researchers/managers.

You will have excellent communication: writing, editing, presenting and proofreading skills; the ability to write content for websites including summarising scientific articles. You will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, and strong technical skills including fluency in Microsoft Office and a familiarity with databases, design tools (e.g. Illustrator, Powerpoint, Photoshop). You will have the ability to undertake occasional travel within Europe.

The position is fixed-term for 2 years in the first instance and funded by the European Commission.
