Beamline Scientist position in MX at Diamond Light Source

Instruct
Diamond Light Source Ltd, Harwell, United Kingdom
Application deadline: 07 Oct 2018

Diamond Light Source are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Beamline Scientist for the macromolecular crystallography (MX) beamline I04 at their facilities.

I04 is a tuneable, microfocus capable X-ray beamline well equipped for high throughput MX and experimental phasing experiments supported by an active Research & Development programme. Recent upgrades include state of the art robotics and multi-axis goniometry and soon the beamline will take delivery of an Eiger2 16M detector. This is coupled with the ongoing move to fully automated data collections as part of its repertoire of user access modes.

Future upgrade paths will look into new ways of sample delivery and flexible experimental setups with complementary techniques that will enhance the current portfolio of available techniques and in particular the Beamline Scientist will take an active role in developing these on I04.

Further details and how to apply can be found via website.

Closing date for application 7th October 2018
