A Postdoctoral Postion in Membrane Protein Structural Biologists

Cleveland, United States
Application deadline: 01 Jan 2019

A postdoctoral position is available for a membrane protein structural biologist in the laboratory of Nami Tajima at Case Western Reserve University.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and creative individual with strong knowledge and expertise in structural biology and electrophysiology to work on a project investigating the structure-function of ion channel signaling complexes. Our research interests are focused on understanding the regulatory mechanisms of ion channels and on dissecting the signaling networks/ ion channel- channel interacting protein interactions in the context of neuronal/synaptic signaling.

The successful candidate must have a recent Ph.D. (or being in the process of completing one) in a relevant field with a demonstrated track record of productive research. Experience in membrane protein biochemistry/expression/purification as well as X-ray crystallography, single particle cryo-EM and/or electrophysiology is highly desirable.

Interested applicants should submit (1) a cover letter describing research interests; (2) a CV; and (3) contact information for three references by Email to Nami Tajima (namitaji@gmail.com).
